Riccione is considered as one of the Italian capital of amusement also because of the amusement and theme parks that rise in the city: Aquafan, Oltremare, Indiana Golf and Beach Village. Aquafan is one of the most famous water parks in Italy (it is probably the most famous one). Inaugurated in 1987, it has inspired many similar parks in Italy, and in years it has offered to its visitors many new attractions. Ideal both for children and for adults, both for groups of friends and for families, Aquafan hosts many attractions and is a valid alternative for all the tourists who are spending their holiday in Riccione and wish to enjoy a different day. Biggest Bang For the Buck - Vacations
Here are the basics you need to know to have the confidence to book a whitewater rafting trip for your next vacation. There are a lot of misconceptions and unknowns about this vacation option. When you know what to expect, what's protecting you, what you get for each dollar spent, you'll quickly conclude this is one of the most memorable, doable and valuable vacations you'll experience. Let's start at the very beginning, what is whitewater rafting? This is the maneuvering of a vessel down a river. Rafting implies the vessel is a coast guard approved raft, more on equipment in a bit. This raft can be maneuvered in a variety of ways, by one person with large oars rigged to the raft, with a group of...
Biofouling of Manganese-oxidizing Microorganisms in Rameswaram
When any substrate surface is immersed in seawater, adhesion of many microorganisms is observed within a short time. This initial covering of exposed surface is called the slim, biofilm or primary film. Once this attachment process is initiated, a succession of settling of organisms is observed leading to the development microbial population. The predominant organisms are bacteria, algae, unicellular fungi and protozoa in a matrix of detritus, which provides a continuous source of nourishment1. The epiphytic nature of marine bacteria was first studied by Zobell and this bacterial adhesion leads the surfaces to corrosion of the material2. Fouling refers to the undesirable formation of deposits on...
Take a Dip With Your Chaise Lounge
The chaise lounge, that luxurious French chair of yore is all wet, literally. No one back in the late 1700s would have had the slightest clue that in the 21st century we would have taken their beloved furniture and repurposed it for aquatic purposes. The chaise lounge has indeed undergone some major changes in design. From its original form came slight variations like the Duchesse Brisee and the Recamier, but these were not earth-shattering to say the least. Then, it became an accepted part of patio furniture as the more broad definition of a "chaise longue" or long chair, was embraced. Now, you can enjoy the relaxing form of a chaise lounger in your bedroom, your living room, your backyard and in...
Drowning in Paper Clutter? - Grab a RAFT & Sail to an Organized Shore!
Paper. It should be a benign part of our lives. It means no harm, really. But somehow, when it piles up and has a paper party with its friends, it becomes dreaded clutter! What to do? Grab a RAFT and sail to an organized shore! (Okay, technically, it should be RAFTS, plural, but that just didn't work well in a sentence, so allow me some leeway.) Sort your mail daily - use the RAFTS method: - Recycle - Junk mail that is not confidential. - Act - Bills to pay, invitations to RSVP to, forms to fill out, etc. - File - Vital documents that must be kept long term (only 20% of paper needs to be filed!). - Toss - If you unfortunately do not have paper recycling in your area. - Shred - Anything with...
Pathfinder 2-Person Inflatable Kayak Review
For those looking for an inflatable kayak that can seat two people comfortably, the RST Marine Pathfinder II 2-Person Inflatable Performance Kayak is worthy of consideration. Construction The kayak itself seems to be pretty sturdy when fully inflated. It is made from reinforced Denier polyester (but shouldn't every inflatable kayak be reinforced?) and should do a good job of resisting the cuts and abrasions that are inevitably going to happen to any inflatable device, especially if used on rivers and streams. The manufacturer says this kayak can handle up to Class III rapids, but we would suggest testing it out on lesser water, such as slow moving rivers and streams before trying it on rapids. The...
Las Vegas - Things to Do Nearby
Las Vegas is a destination with all kinds of entertainment, shows and gambling opportunities. But if you'd like to get out of town there's an array of things to do for a lifetime of memories. 1. Take a helicopter ride over Las Vegas, or to the Grand Canyon. New technology helicopters give a smoother landing and less G's than a commercial aircraft, very safe. See the lights of Vegas at night, or the inspirational sunset colors of the Grand Canyon. Optionally see the Valley of Fire and Lake Mead by air. Total trip, 2-4hrs 2. Tour the Hoover Dam, a 1hr drive from Las Vegas. See the largest cement project in the country and feel the vibration of megawatts of power being generated inside the dam. Learn...
Artificial Reefs - Fish Love 'em and Scuba Divers Love 'em
As long as humans have been building rafts, boats, ships or any kind of water craft, we been sinking them (the vast majority unintentionally). For most of our history on the oceans, our technology has been no match for the power and force that can be mustered against it by the seven seas. Even our biggest ventures - like the Titanic - are not invulnerable to ice bergs or missiles. And as long as humans have ventured under the oceans, we've been trying to get down to these sunken ships to take a look. In recent history, we've been intentionally sinking unused and outdated vessels and calling them "artificial reefs". There is a measured benefit to both marine life and local economies when "artificial...
Personal Boats For Fishing
If you've never considered or at least looked into the idea of a personal boat for fishing, you may want to. We all know about 'traditional' boats and how they can be used for fishing, but personal boats are many something that anglers don't even consider. A 'personal boat' is simply a small, portable boat, such as a personal pontoon boat or inflatable kayak. Not the kind of inflatable kayak that you see at the local pool but rather a quality inflatable kayak. These types of boats are many times quite affordable and most certainly very convenient when it comes to the act of fishing. Which type you choose is up to personal preference, as both types of boats, the kayak and pontoon, perform quite...

Beckenbauer Question Low's Player Selection
football legend Franz Beckenbauer is kicking up a fuss in his home country by questioning the decision-making of national team manager Joachim Low. The former national captain is calling for the current boss to hand a recall to Kevin Kuranyi — who has been in the international wilderness since October 2008 after he stormed off after being omitted from the squad to face Russia. Beckenbauer is the man who guided Germany to World Cup victory in 1990, but the nation does not seem to be the World Cup tips from many experts and the former manager now thinks he sees a way to solve the side's problems. The 28-year-old Kuranyi is now the top scorer in the Bundesliga for his club side Schalke with 17...

The Role of the Trumpet Within a Big Band
The trumpet has always been an integral part of the traditional big band, both as a lead instrument and as a soloist. The section consists of four players, with the first chair being labeled the "lead" chair and the second part generally considered the "jazz" chair. Although improvised solos can be played by any of the four players, the second trumpet is usually depended upon to cover the solos within the section when needed. It is the "lead" trumpet that carries the melody over all other musicians during full band sections. This important position carries quite a large responsibility, mainly because it is he/she who is called upon to play the highest notes within the ensemble sections. Melodic and...

Kayaking With Your Dog - Safety Rules and Precautions
Kayaking is a phenomenal sport and it is even more enjoyable when you can bring along your favorite furry friend - your dog I mean. It is no problem to bring your dog out paddling for the day but you do want to be sure to follow a few safety rules and precautions to make sure that your dog is safe and comfortable on his water adventure. 1. It is best to only paddle in flat, calm waters with your dog. If the water is too rough this can make the dog uncomfortable, nervous and possibly sick. If you have to concentrate on maneuvering your boat, you do not want to be worrying about whether your dog is still in the boat. Calm water provides a much more relaxed environment and also the possibility for...
Taking Pictures From Your Kayak
Probably the main reason we purchased our inflatable kayak was to use it to gently paddle along and take scenic pictures of wildlife, newly budding flowers and other vegetation. Whatever kind of kayak or other paddling craft you own here's a few tips to help you take good photos. When "framing" the photo in your camera's view screen or lens, it is always good to remember some of the basic rules for taking good photos. Be sure to keep your horizons level and keep in mind the rule of thirds. For example, the horizon should be in the top third or bottom third of the photo, never in the center. Any other points of interest should also be placed off center by about a third for a more pleasing look. You...
An Explanation of the Airsoft Sport
type="text/javascript"> Airsoft by definition is a sport where players simulate military or law enforcement combat by using airsoft guns (which look a lot like real guns, to add to the realism) and other airsoft gear. The game of airsoft was developed in Japan, where firearms were (and still are) almost impossible to get without resorting to illegal means. An alternative was developed, and that alternative was airsoft. Because of this, it is no surprise that airsoft is actually most popular in East Asian countries such as China, Japan, Taiwan, and South Korea (North Korea is more interested in using real guns!) Unlike paintball, it is incredibly hard to tell if somebody has been hit. No...
Astral Projection With Binaural Beats
Astral Projection is dependant on our brain. It can take years and years to ever be able to reach the proper mentality level that is needed in order to allow ourselves to be removed from our physical body. Not only does it take a very long time but it also takes an extreme amount of dedication. Binaural beat recordings have been shown to help us be able to astral project in a very short period of time. Learn how they work and how they allow us to astral project. How do Binaural Beat Recordings Work? Basically two separate frequencies waves are used in each ear. Our brains then create a third tone which is the difference between the two. What this does is allow the brain to tune into a frequency that...
4 Lifesaving Tips For Packing a Backpack For Hiking
You feel the weight of the world on your shoulders...literally. The night before starting your camping trip, you tossed all of your gear into your backpack. And now every step up the mountain is a struggle. As the mountain becomes steeper and steeper, you increasingly begin to dread the way that you packed your backpack. You assumed that if you successfully fit all of your gear into the various compartments of the pack, then you would be prepared. But as you near the mountaintop, the poor weight distribution in your backpack meets gravity, causing you to lose your balance. Suddenly, gravity takes over and you start falling backwards. As your arms and neck lanyards flap in the air, you realize how...
Kayaking Or Canoeing in El Salvador
My own visit to El Salvador (sometimes misspelt El Slavador or El Salavador) was a delightful experience. The contrast between those who are wealthier and those who are not is never far away in developing countries. What was different about El Salvador (El Slavador or El Salavador), was the attitude of the less financially endowed. Poorer people often have to vend to earn a living and vendors can be unobligingly persistent in their pursuit of sales. Not so, the Salvadorans. Dignity, cheerfulness and innovation are more their trademark. What a people to embrace! What ingredients in their history have wrought such grace? How often do you find these attributes? What other nation has such treasure...

They typically come in either MP3 or CD format and are listened to with headphones daily to create altered states of mind that can greatly benefit ones life. Below we will go through how they work as well as the best places to find them. What are Binaural Beats and how do they Work? Basically they are specially generated sounds that can alter our brainwaves. By controlling what brain frequencies we experience we are able to reach altered states of consciousness. Which mind state we experience will depend on the exact frequency that we are able to create. This works by listening to two different frequencies in each individual ear. The...

Cold Weather Paddling - Guidelines on How to Dress
There is no reason to stop kayaking once the weather turns cold... unless the water has frozen over. If you are dressed properly cold weather paddling can be invigorating and fun. It is simply a matter of wearing the right gear and keeping your digits and toes dry and toasty. The major point to remember when kayaking in cold weather is to layer your clothing. 1. First wear a layer of clothes that wicks the moisture away from your body such as a Hydroskin shirt. 2. Then if it is cold you will want an insulating layer such as a fleece or a sweater. 3. Third wear a waterproof jacket and waterproof pants. If you end up getting wet, no matter what you are wearing you will be very chilled. So it is...
Brainwave Entrainment Methods
Brainwave entrainment has reached higher levels of popularity as of late as more and more publications on the positive effects of using this type of brain frequency manipulation are becoming known. What is Brainwave Entrainment? Also called brainwave synchronization this is when either an aural or a visual stimulus is presented to our brain which causes our brains to tune into a specific frequency that produces whichever desired brain-state we are trying to achieve. Different frequency combinations will produce different effects and have been known to be very effective in achieving altered states of consciousness. Typically brainwave entrainment is achieved by using an aural stimulus. The aural...
Isochronic Tones - Best Places to Find Them
Isochronic tones are one of the most effective forms of brainwave entrainment. There are many brainwave entrainment products that use binaural beats but there are only a couple that offer isochronic tones as well. Below I will explain exactly what isochronic tones are as well as they best place to purchase them or listen to a free sample. What are Isochronic Tones? This form of brainwave synchronization uses equal intensity tones that pulse on and off at different speeds. When the speeds increase they synchronize the brain with the rhythm. By listening to these tones we are able to experience many different altered states of consciousness depending on the pattern of the tones presented as well as...
Lucid Dreaming With Binaural Beats
Lucid dreaming is when you realize you are dreaming as you dream. When a person is in this dream state, they can control their dreams and what they experience. Many people like to be able to experience things that they cannot experience in the physical world... for example flying. Binaural beats have shown to be extremely effective in helping someone reach this kind of awakened dream state. How do Binaural Beats Work? Essentially they are recordings where two separate frequency waves are introduced independently to each ear. When our brain processes these frequencies, it reacts by creating a third tone that is the difference between the two. Our brain then reacts to these frequencies and that causes...

Portable Water Filters - Only Use the Best
I began my search for a portable water bottle filter for a number of reasons. 1. I have always been into my health and am very aware of the dangers of drinking regular tap water. The amount of chlorine and contaminants in our water supplies is staggering and scary. I have a water filtration system on my home and only drink, cook and wash with filtered water. 2. I very much dislike buying bottled water. For one thing it is hard to trust that the bottled water we are buying is of any great quality. The standards aren't that high and I have heard numerous reports of water some bottled water not being so good. It makes me nervous. Also with the amount of bottled water that people purchase, our landfills...
Using Binaural Beats - Do They Really Work?
Binaural beats are not new but are fairly uncommon to most people. It can be difficult to understand how listening to a recording of these special beats can do much of anything at all. To understand how they work first it is important to know exactly what they are. What are Binaural Beats? Believe it or now, binaural beats have been researched for well over 150 years. Basically different frequencies will produce different effects to our consciousness. Our brains actually go through many different frequency cycles within a day. Knowing that, it has been discovered that our part of our frequencies can be altered with sound waves. This is not something to be worried about. We alter our consciousness...
Brainwave Synchronization - How Does it Work?
Brainwave synchronization is basically another term for brainwave entrainment. It works by presenting the right binaural frequencies to the brain in order to achieve the desired altered state of consciousness. There are a few different types of brainwave synchronization that can be hugely beneficial to many people. The three most common types are: - binaural beats - monaural beats - isochronic tones The science behind brainwave entrainment is sound and has been researched and tested for over 170 years. With the use of tones and pulses we can manipulate our brain into producing frequencies that may have only been achieved otherwise through many years of deep meditation. Below we will go through a...

Sea Paddling Perception Kayaks
Having purchased a Sundance Perception kayak from my local kayak dealer with a spray skirt thrown in about six weeks ago, I was eager to get my paddles wet and see how this kayak performed in the water. I had previously paddled a Sundance and from first impressions was impressed but I only had a short time in it and for me anyway until you are in your own kayak you never really can tell just how suitable the boat will be for short and long distance kayak travels. I had been itching to get back out in the water has it had been nearly six months due to the winter months and DIY commitments since my last paddle in my trusty Sevylor ranger inflatable kayak. I was looking forward to the extra speed and...

Sinking Boats - Abandon Ship!
Remember those funny cartoons you'd watch as a kid where some cartoon characters are in a boat when suddenly there's a hole. In an effort to counteract the effects of this hole in the boat, people start using pails to scoop the water out; however, they can't keep up and eventually the boat sinks as a consequence. Well, this also happens in real life. Every year, thousands of boats of all shapes and sizes sink. The most ironic part is that most of them sink when they're not even in use; they're at the dock!. As a matter of fact, sinking boats is perhaps one of the biggest losses to marinas all over the world. Why is this: because marine insurance is too expensive. Perhaps one of the major reasons...
Minnesota Unemployment - Experts Say Has Hit Bottom Now
Minnesota unemployment has hit record highs, and the state's unemployment insurance is a whopping $155,000,000 in the red for those of you who don't understand how many zeros there are in that figure. That's one hundred fifty-five million! Experts say that there are signs that Minnesota unemployment is hitting a bottom. But these experts are undoubtedly completely wrong and spreading a false optimism. There are no doubts this is only the beginning. On December 7th, 2009 the U.S. president Barack H. Obama will sign us into the Copenhagen treaty. And one very important aspect to this, is that the Copenhagen treaty dictates that the USA must reduce it's carbon 'footprint' by 20% between 2013, and 2020...

As Church of Scientology leader, David Miscavige, described the Scientology Volunteer Ministers program: “The final word, as regards our front-line work bringing our help wherever and whenever needed is our corps of Scientology...
